Saints Row 4 pretty much starts off over the edge, there's not really any of the surface texture seriousness left. Saints Row The Third picks up where SR2 leaves off, but still manages to have a sense of "reality" to actions and consequences even if they're involving a zombie outbreak, and like SR2 before, it keeps pushing the boundaries, however it only really begins to break into the realm of unquestionable broken overpowered silliness in some of the DLC. It's unlikely to be ported to the Switch though as it's less popular, was never terribly well optimized, and runs on a different engine. Still, SR2 feels like it picks up where GTA San Andreas left off as far as serious vs silly goes, and then as the game progresses it tilts further into comic psychopathic absurdity, and it's great (the epilogue DLC is only available on 360 and PS3 though). Still it has the best clothing systems of all the games as you can choose buttoning, hat orientation, tie or or no tie, etc. Saints Row 2 is good but shows its age with controls and graphics. Nintendo also surprised everyone yesterday with the indie highlights showing off a plethora of Nindies coming to the Switch console, including Bad North, Prison Architect, and Morphis Law, which are available right now. On the other hand, this is a robust open-world experience for Nintendo Switch users to take on the go and will be yet another example of what the console is capable of, despite The Third being an older game. On one hand, this could signal a future for the Saints Row franchise after the troubled spin-off Agents of Mayhem caused Volition layoffs. This is a major reveal for Nintendo Switch and Deep Silver for a couple reasons. The news was revealed in a tweet with no additional details, other than a statement that more info will be revealed "in due course." Want some chaos on the go?
